NZ produces record milk volumes

New Zealand milk processors collected record levels of milk in the last two months of the 2017/18 season as favourable weather boosted pasture growth, helping make up for trying conditions during the spring and early summer.

Synlait Milk drives sharemarket to record high

New Zealand’s S&P/NZX 50 Index rose to a record led by Synlait Milk, which jumped to an all-time high after posting strong first-half earnings growth. Synlait’s partner A2 Milk Co also gained, along with Kathmandu Holdings and the Fonterra Shareholders’ Fund.
