Nestle, on health kick, moves into milk allergy testing

Nestle (NESN.S), the world’s biggest food company, is stepping up its push into medicine with a global deal worth up to 100 million euros ($111 million) to develop and market an experimental milk allergy test for infants.

Arla investment of €38m in new whey plant

Leading European dairy processor Arla has announced that it is to invest €38m in a new whey-focused manufacturing plant, which is to be built next to Arla Foods Ingredients’ existing whey protein facility in Videbæk, Denmark, where Arla Foods Ingredients is also in the process of building a new lactose plant.
