Illinois farmers seek help to protect immigrant workers under Trump
CHICAGO — At a dairy farm in northwest Illinois, Esteban works the land the way his father taught him in his native Michoacan, Mexico. Every day before the sun rises, Esteban, who prefers not to give his last name because of his immigration status, feeds about 1,200 cows, regardless of rain, snow or hail. Milk Futures, cash dairy higher
Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were supported by the recent lower USDA production estimate and increased cash dairy activity. May was up $.06 at $15.61, June was $.29 higher at $16.38, July was up $.40 at $16.89, and August was up $.36 at $17.20. By John Perkins
