All communications between senior Government Ministers and the Ministry of Primary Industries over the Fonterra botulism scare are being kept secret.
Newstalk ZB had sought copies of correspondence between Minister Nathan Guy and Nikki Kaye with MPI preceding the Ministry’s decision to lay charges against Fonterra over the incident.
That decision was made just before the Prime Minister’s trip to China earlier this year.
MPI so far has declined to release any of he documents and now says it won’t reconsider a timeline for release until after a formal inquiry into the contamination scare is completed in November this year
