Jim Wysocki’s comments would have one believe he’s fighting for truth and justice and carrying the banner for other «wronged businesses suffering under vested rights laws,” and that Saratoga is «depriving them of their rights.” There was certainly no mention of the rights of Saratoga and Rome citizens to continue living in this established residential/recreational area without the threat of ruined wells, streams and lakes, and property values plummeting because no one else will want to live in the midst of a 5,300-cow, 6,000-plus acre industrial dairy CAFO.
It’s especially concerning that we would put these communities at risk in the face of falling milk prices and increasing CAFO pollution issues, while the Rome recreational expansion fuels positive economic growth all around the area.
