New boss at WCB

CHANGE is underway at Warrnambool Cheese & Butter, with Canadian dairy giant and WCB-owner announcing new appointments.

Following the news Warrnambool Cheese & Butter chief executive officer David Lord will retire in April next year, Saputo has announced his successor.
Kai Bockman, who is currently Saputo’s president and chief operating officer, will be his replacement.
He has been with Saputo in his current role since January, 2012, and has 15 years of international experience within the food industry.
In the past, he has held senior management positions in production, sales and marketing, and has worked in Canada, US, China, India and Latin America.
Mr Bockman is set to start his new role, as part of his current responsibilities as president and chief operating officer of Saputo’s dairy division.
He will continue to be employed by Saputo and no changes to his terms of employment are expected.
Meanwhile, WCB’s chief financial officer, William Hannah, will be stepping down from his current position as of July 1, 2015.
After that date, Paul Moloney, who is currently company secretary, will be appointed as vice president, finance and administration, chief financial officer and company secretary and will report to Mr Bockmann.
Also, Richard Wallace, the current general manager – operations, has been appointed to the position of WCB’s senior vice president and general manager, effective January 5, 2015.
Mr Wallace will continue reporting to Mr Lord until April 1, 2015 and subsequently to Mr Bockmann.
In his new role, Mr Wallace will oversee operations, milk supply, domestic sales, human resources and corporate development.
