Milk futures, cash cheese lower

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were down on technical selling and demand uncertainties. September was $.07 lower at $16.20, October was down $.12 at $16.43, November was $.17 lower at $16.23, and December was down $.19 at $16.07. By: John Perkins

Cash cheese blocks were $.01 lower at $1.51. Six loads were sold, including one at $1.51 and three at $1.505. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $1.50. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.52. Barrels were down $.01 at $1.49. One load was sold at $1.49. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $1.46. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.5175.
Butter was $.015 lower at $2.58. Three loads were sold at $2.58. The last uncovered offer was for two loads, also at $2.58.
Nonfat dry milk was $.0025 higher at $.8625. Three loads were sold, three at $.86 and one at $.8625. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $.86. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.865.
