A letter has been posted on social media announcing rises in the August B price and the September A price for Meadow Foods suppliers.
The August B price for August will be 22ppl meaning the price has increased by 10.75ppl in three months. It also said the current estimate for September’s B price was it would be no lower than 25ppl.
The A price will increase by 1ppl to 20ppl in September. It is the third month running Meadow Foods has increased its A litre price.
In the letter, Simon Chantler, executive chairman, said: “We realise these increases do not yet return producers to sustainable prices, however we hope the current positivity within the market continues, and we will make every effort to return any improvements as quickly as possible to producers.”
