Kraft is voluntarily recalling 7,691 packages of select varieties of its American Singles Pasteurized Prepared Cheese products, the company said in a release Friday. No illnesses linked to the recalled cheese have been reported.

The company issued the recall after a supplier delivered an ingredient that was not stored in accordance with Kraft’s temperature standards.

«While unlikely, this could create conditions that could lead to premature spoilage and/or food borne illness; therefore the company is issuing the recall as a precaution,» wrote Kraft in the release.  The cheese was manufactured at a Kraft facility in Springfield, Mo., and was shipped across the country. The affected packages include 12-ounce, 16-ounce and 64-ounce products with a «best when used by» date of Feb. 20, 2015 or Feb. 21, 2015. A full list of the recalled products can be found online

Kraft is currently investigating the cause of the storage conditions.

The company is asking anyone who purchased the affected products to not eat them, and return the packages to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund.
