Pat Cochran began working for Idaho Milk Products on Jan. 12, 2009 as High Temperature Short Time (HTST) separator operator. In 2010, she was promoted to production administrative assistant.
Cochran spent 20 years in farming before she got a degree and worked in dental hygiene for 15 years. She then changed direction and became a truck supervisor at Agri-Service for 4 years.
Cochran was hired at Idaho Milk Products after meeting the company’s vice president of operations at a job fair. With her microbiology and chemistry background, she thought she would be hired as a lab technician, but ended up accepting the position of HTST separator operator.
Her fondest memories go back to before the plant was finished, because there was lots of camaraderie and excitement.
“I really enjoyed working here,” Cochran said. “I made fast friends and had a great learning experience.”
