Some suppliers of milk processing company, United Dairy Power, say they’re still waiting to receive last month’s milk cheque.

The company, which processes milk from South Australia and Victoria, was sold to a Hong-Kong based private investor in February.

The South Australian Dairyfarmers Association says it believes four South Australian farmers are owed more than $120,000 each.

The association’s David Basham says it’s very unusual for a payment to be delayed.

«The dairy industry is very reliant on consistent payments of milk cheques, and farmers rely on them heavily, and it’s one of the beauties of the dairy industry of having a consistent cash flow.»

The ABC has contacted United Dairy Power for comment.
