“Dairy industry will reach new heights,” Raje said in Ajmer. The government will release Rs 100 crore to strengthen milk unions, which will ensure competitive price to producers and availability of quality milk at a reasonable cost, she said. “The fund will directly benefit nine lakh milk producers in the state.”
Raje was addressing a public meeting after announcing development works of Rs 356 crore for Ajmer district. She laid the foundation stone of a milk pasteurisation and powder plant at Ajmer Dairy. She also inaugurated a project for road widening and construction of a divider at Rs 7.62 crore from Ashok Udhyan to SDS Crossroad.
Raje inaugurated Abhay Command Control Centre built at Rs 40 crore, which will help police in surveillance, vehicle tracking and mob control. She also opened the Ajmer Development Authority’s Rs 57-crore scheme Vijayaraje Scindia Nagar.
The four-laned national highway from Kishangarh to Gujarat border will be expanded to six lanes with Rs 4000 crore. The BJP government has approved Rs 6330 crore for Ajmer district in last three and a half years, she said.
“With the government’s efforts, Rajasthan has become a leading state in milk production and today Saras has become a brand of purity and quality,” Raje said. “Soon production of chocolate will start in Bhilwara, cheese in Bikaner and cattle feed in Pali.”
The new plant at Ajmer Dairy will facilitate collection of 10 lakh litres milk per day, production of 30 metric tonnes milk powder and packaging of 4 lakh litres. “According to the demand of the market, mozzarella cheese, paneer, flavoured milk, butter with new flavour and other new products will be made,” she said.
Cooperative minister Ajay Singh Kilak, minister of state for education Vasudev Devnani, and minister of state for woman and child development Anita Bhadel were present on the occasion.
