US – In a busy week of trading so far, midweek prices have lifted across many commodities with Butter lifting 2.5 cents after nine trades were recorded yesterday.
This leaves Butter values strong at $1.5250, above prices at the start of the week of $1.4775 and 12 cents ahead of last week’s average of $1.4450.
Cheddar Blocks and Barrels both edged higher in the sales, up 0.25 cents and 0.5 cents respectively leaving Blocks on $1.6650 and Barrels on $1.6550.
Both standards of non-fat dry milk remained unchanged with one trade for Grade A at $1.7400.
Class III milk for July lost 9 cents after Wednesday’s trading, finishing on $17.20. Class IV milk closed on $19.01 – unchanged.
Cheese lost ground, closing down 0.50 cents to $1.6950 with July Butter gaining 0.75 cents up to $1.5400.
