Commonwealth Dairy completes US packaged yogurt facility expansion project

Yogurt company Commonwealth Dairy has completed a $12m expansion project that commenced in November 2012.
The expansion includes addition of about 23,000ft² in new facilities as well as new machinery at its Brattleboro plant in the US, which began operations in March 2011.
As part of the expansion, the company added a new processing line, new warehouse space, a new filling machine, fermentation tanks, wastewater treatment improvements and new whey processing and packaging equipment.
The company was producing more than 125,000 cases of packaged yogurt per week, including its Greek yogurt, as of May.
Commonwealth Dairy, a joint venture between Ehrmann USA, a subsidiary of Ehrmann, and Commonwealth Yogurt, manufactures private label, co-pack and branded class II dairy products.

Además, reconoció la labor de los empresarios de las firmas locales y aseguró que están «esperanzados» con la negociación entre SanCor y Adecoagro.
