Australia exported 8.9% more dairy product during July and August 2012 than in the same period during 2011, according to the latest information from Dairy Australia.
In percentage terms, butter saw the biggest year-on-year increase with 5,713 tons exported during the two months, more than double the exports at the same time last year.
In volume terms, skim milk powder volumes increased the most to total 20,719 tons, 4,544 tons higher then July and August 2011. Whole milk powder, cheddar and butter oil exports were lower than a year ago.
