Wisconsin All Milk Price Fell 70-Cents in February

The Wisconsin all milk price for February was $15.60 per hundredweight. According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was 70-cents lower than last month's price and $3.40 below a year earlier.

The U.S. all milk price for February was $15.30 per cwt, 30-cents lower than Wisconsin’s price and 80-cents below the previous month. All of the 23 major milk producing states had a lower price when compared with January.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $1.53 per pound on March 28, while barrels were $1.47 per pound. The CME butter price was $2.18 per pound.
For the week ending March 24, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $1.58 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $1.53 per pound. The U.S. butter price was $2.20 per pound.
