Three finalists contend for 2014 Dairy Woman of the Year title.
The Dairy Women’s Network has announced the names of the three women who have been selected as finalists for the 2014 Dairy Woman of the Year Award.
They are: Charmaine O’Shea from Kerikeri, Julie Pirie from Hauraki Plains and Joyce Voogt from Otorohanga.
Led by the Dairy Women’s Network and sponsored by Fonterra Milk Supply, the award includes a scholarship to the ten-month Women in Leadership Programme delivered by Global Women, valued at $25,000.
Dairy Women’s Network Trust Board chair Michelle Wilson said the caliber of the three finalists was again exceptionally high.
“From grass-roots farmers to chief executives, all the finalists are successful business women, passionate about the dairy industry and each already playing a role in its future development and growth – the judging panel has again had a difficult job deciding the recipient of this award,” said Mrs. Wilson.
The finalists were individually interviewed in December by a panel of five judges including Mrs Wilson representing the Dairy Women’s Network; Faye Langdon managing director Global Women; Janette Rosanowski director leadership and talent Fonterra; Jenny Jago strategy and investment portfolio manager DairyNZ; and 2012 Dairy Woman of the Year award winner Barbara Kuriger.
