The new online store from Ireland’s largest agri-retailer, which officially launched late last week, delivers a market-leading offering to farmers as well as gardeners and pet owners, throughout Ireland.
Glanbia’s own research shows a growing demand from farmers for high quality online services and proof that the farming sector is taking the lead in embracing new technologies and increasingly doing business digitally.
Almost 80% of farmers use their smart phones primarily when accessing the internet. (77%); 47% of dairy farmers view their milk production information online on a daily basis; The top 3 most important factors for farmers when shopping online are secure payments (81%), an easy to use site (56%) and detailed product information (52%)
Convenience and accessibility is at the centre of the offering and the online store is designed to be fully accessible on mobile devices with user friendly navigation and advanced search capabilities.
Customers can pay with credit card or link an existing Glanbia credit facility to their account.
GlanbiaConnect has also been awarded with the Retail Excellence Ireland Trustmark which certifies that the online shop has passed a European standard of excellence ensuring they provide an efficient user experiences and process payments securely.
