Today, Guida’s Dairy, a farmer-owned, Connecticut-based milk processor joined state and local officials as well as representatives from Walmart to celebrate its farmer ownership and continued commitment to providing fresh, local milk from farm to table. Guida’s Dairy currently has 225 local employees, processes milk from New England dairy farmers and supports Walmart’s 10-year commitment to buy an additional $250 billion in products to support American jobs.

All of our milk comes from within a 200-mile radius of our plant, which helps cut shipping costs and provides fresh food offerings from our farms to your table.’
Based on data from The Boston Consulting Group, it is estimated that 1 million new U.S. jobs will be created through Walmart’s initiative, including direct manufacturing job growth of approximately 250,000 and indirect job growth of approximately 750,000 in the support and service sectors.
