Chris Galen with the National Milk Producers Federation says the FDA has been lax in going after dairy product imitators.
He says support for the resolution to get the FDA to move on the issue was unanimous.
Galen says if dairy imitators are allowed to use the dairy label it cheapens the product and adds value to their product which doesn’t have the benefits dairy products have.
Galen says the state dairy regulators realize imitators using the dairy label when they shouldn’t has gotten out of hand and it’s time for the FDA to step in and stop it.
