Arla Milk Link (AML) farmers will get a 0.74p/litre price increase from 30 September as a result of improvements in business performance.
This takes the AML standard litre price to 33.05p/litre, based on a 0.85p/litre increase to the Arla Foods amba on-account price after a 0.11p/litre deduction due to currency for the October to December period.
The price will be paid to 1,600 farmers who are owner-members of the European dairy co-op Arla.
In a letter to AML producers, the company said: «Improvements in business performance have continued, allowing this price increase.
«The outlook for the remainder of 2013 is difficult to predict. However, we do not expect any downward movement in the milk price and remain committed to recovering maximum value from the marketplace.»
The Arla Milk Link price increase follows other price announcements in recent weeks from Muller, Meadow Foods, First Milk and Glanbia Cheese.

Muller Wiseman Dairies will increase its standard litre non-aligned price by 1p/litre to 32.5p/litre on 21 October, while First Milk will up its milk price by 1p/litre from 1 November, bringing its manufacturing pool price up to 32p/litre and its liquid pool price to 31.85p/litre.
Glanbia Cheese producers will see a 1p/litre increase to 32.6p/litre from 1 October, and Meadow Foods producers will see a 1p/litre increase to 32.25p/lire from 1 November.
